I don’t think they lost because they came out flat. I don’t think Clemson would have won the game period. I think they got embarrassed because they came out flat. I didn’t get to watch the game because I was working, but listening on the radio I was embarrassed by a piss poor performance all the way around.

AS stated numerous times, they would have lost anyway but had they played to a modicrum of potential it wouldn’t have been nearly that lopsided.
Were I you and a bunch of other Sakkerliner fans, I’d focus on the problems with my own team and how they are going to finish out. They’re likely looking at a second straight loss this week, that kind of thing tends to tank a season in a hurry.

In college football the Offense has to get in a rhythm and get things going. It also gets the crowd in the game. When the O gets fired up so does the D. The team that does usually does well - when it doesn’t happen it usually does not turn out too well. You get a 2nd chance at start of 2nd half. If not too far gone you can pull it out. FSU forced turnovers and took the wind out the sails - it happens. FSU was favored to win or Clemson favored to loose - 'pends on how you look at it. They got it going and we didn’t - got beat. At least they were favored and top5 team. How 'bout them gamecoots in Knoxville?

Salty not sure if yoiu are just bantering with these guys, but the Gamecocks lost to a good GA team, Beat what is looking like a pretty good UCF team and lost to a Tennessee team that may be better than people think. I would say that Tennessee may give your Tigers some problems as well because of their line play. They are very diruptive on the defensive line and can pound the run behind a very good offensive line. Both of these things have given the Tigers trouble over the last several years. Clemson got beat up front plain and simple Saturday night. Boyd reverted back to rushing all of his passes even throwing wide reciever screens in the dirt, due to pressure. Connor Shaw did the same thing against Tennessee.

Now I cannot say we, because I have no control over the game, but I was on the sideline, and I can tell you the 13 years I have been going to Clemson games, NO GAME have I ever seen the crowd like that. And it just sucked to watch it!! We got beat, no if ands or buts about it
