Read all the way through Fritz, it’s in there. Outside income has to do with endorsements, merchandise and namesake, not coaching or say disparaging remarks about the University.

I have read it. I just don’t see where it says he can’t coach next year without forfeiting his buyout. Seems like it would be really simple to point me straight to it. I don’t understand why that is so hard to do.
You do realize the “association” terminated the contract don’t you?
The university is paying him to leave. No where in that link does it say he cannot coach somewhere else. But I’m the dumbass.

Yup. The school terninated him without cause (which they have the right to do). As a result, his buyout is fixed. This is akin to how Charlie Weis was one of the highest paid coaches in college football this year despite not coaching anyone (after Kansas axed him that is) – his severance from Notre Dame and Kansas was around $5 million a year I believe.

I would be interested to see where it states he can not take another coaching job. I did skim through the 58 pages and didn’t see where it was written, although I am not saying it isn’t actually there, I just didn’t see it…
