I take absolutely no side or interest in the dispute between Salty and Fritz (with regard to this particular argument or otherwise).
That disclaimer out there, I read the clause on page 39 to mean that Muschamp cannot hold himself out as head coach of the University of Florida following termination or engage in acts as the university’s agent as head coach. I do not read it to mean he cannot be a head coach anywhere.
I find this important because it makes a big difference as to whether or not he’ll be on the sidelines (or box) somewhere in the SEC next year.
Termination of employment removes his position as HC and severs his ties with UF in any role at all other than compensation due a parameters set forth to collect it. The entire language preceding that clause makes it clear. IF that is not the case then Muschamp had some (**() good lawyers draft his own contract and get UF’s 1st year wet behind the ears legal counsel sign and agree to it.
We’ll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
Now, let’s find another subject to frustrate Capt Fur Coat.
Well, I guess we know how it played out. Seems I was right all along. Snicker effing snicker. Tell me about your 3 degrees from Clemson and how smart you are again, that might have been my favorite part of this thread.
Would you like your goat back, I still seem to have it.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

OK, I was wrong, sue me. I was right about him not coming to Sakkerliner though.
You coming to get your goat, I don’t need it any more.

It’s there, go find it. A whole section on what would nullify his payment structure.

You’re not reading it quite right. The prohibitions on his outside activities don’t apply once the contract is terminated. Some provisions survive, namely no contact with recruits and no disparaging the university, but generally and unless otherwise specified, once notice of termination is given those provisions control and everything else is wiped out. In this case, both parties are relieved of a vast majority of their obligations and Muchamp gets $2 million per year remaining (prorated for short years) payable in installments as the contract describes.
No, I’m reading it right. You haven’t found it either it appears.

Doesn’t UF have to pay him a huge buyout over the next few years? Why would he forgo the easy money to come in for less at Sakkerliner and try and put out a dumpster fire that Wammy created.

IS there a clause in the buyout that says he cannot work somewhere else?
