Folly 5/24-Black Drum/Bonnet Heads

Was staying w/ in laws on Folly all week. Fished 5/21-5/24. Steady all week. Caught a number of nice black drum and whiting. Also got into some nice size bonnet head sharks.

One of the bonnets i caught. I caught 3, this was the biggest. Hit a chunk of blue crab. Didn’t have a tape measure so don’t know exact size. By far biggest fish I have caught in the surf.

Nice man! Ain’t nothing wrong with that! I actually really like the taste of black drum and prefer it over some inshore fish… and shark steaks are great too

All drum were caught on shrimp. The bonnet heads were only ones who would eat crab.
