Has anyone had any luck with reds or sharks from folly at all?

Not sure…I read somewhere the Tarpon were bittin’ though…
I’d rather take my chances on some big sharks and maybe… just maybe I’ll get lucky with a tarpon lol

Sharks have been thick in the surf on Folly, and I’m sure elsewhere as well. I use a 100lb 3’ shock leader when I rig for bigger fish and have had some crazy runs and bite offs. I intentionally avoid using wire because I’d rather get bitten off then deal with a 6’ shark I have no idea how to deal with when fishing alone, but I am sure they are the culprits. I have caught a bunch of 3’ to 4’ sharks as well.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Don’t teach a man to fish… and feed yourself. He’s a grown man. And fishing’s not that hard.

If you wanna go with someone, Ill pull out the kayak and my big rod. I wanna go anyways, my friends just never wanna go and I feel the same way about big sharks. I just don’t want to deal with them when I am alone.
