folly beach question

Hey thanks for reading, I will be heading down to Folly at the end of the month and wanted to do some surf/shark fishing. I’m good with rigs and gear, my question is more about location and time. I’ll be staying across the street from the pier but looking at google maps it looks like there are some inlets on both ends of the beach. Should I go down there and fish, or stay near pier? Is there parking down there? Also early am or late pm?

I’ll be bringing a cast net but wanted to know about bait as well. Any info will help and thank you so much.

Either end of the beach is ok - early morning is good because there are no swimmers around yet, you kinda have to pack it up by noon on the busy days. Shark fishing is technically not allowed on the pier, and that is where the majority of swimmers and surfers seem to congregate.
Bring a rod for shrimp and double drops to catch your bait, bring a bigger one to heave said bait back out for blacktips.
Remember to clean up after yourself on the beach and be respectful to swimmers.
