Folly Inlet

I take my dad once a year to go fishing. He’s getting up in years so we’re limited on the places he’ll go but I got him out this past weekend out by the Morris Island lighthouse. Saturday we didn’t catch much but the usual suspects on the bottom with a nice trout thrown in. Sunday he caught his fill of whiting so I cooked them up for his supper. Monday on our last day I took a chance and put him on to where he wouldn’t catch many whiting but suspected there would be some reds and it paid off. He caught this one. It took him a while because we use light tackle. I missed the next one and landed another the same size afterwards.

Thats awesome! sounds like a good weekend out.

Good red! Nice weekend!

It doesn’t t get any better than that. Big reds and fishing with your pop, congratulations.:smiley:

beast!!! may head down this weekend to try to stick one

I fish to leave the rest of the world behind. I fish because I respect the fish. I fish because it’s in my DNA.

That’s really awesome. So happy for you two. What a good memory.

Cherish those trips/time with your dad , go more often if possible,
stay longer , take more pictures , talk more , tell him you love him
more often “yes it’s ok to say it” for one day he’s GONE and those chances are no more.:frowning_face::frowning_face::frowning_face: Lord how i wish i had those days
to do again !!!:face_with_head_bandage::face_with_head_bandage:
