I fished the rocks by the light house from 7am-12pm and caught several reds all small a few blues and pin fish and one 4ft shark that was caught about 200 yds out and peeled off a lot off line be for I got to the rod, lots of reeling. I caught the shark on my new 15 ft big water with an avenger bait feeder and had the drag super tight and muscled it in with ease. I plan to get a new reel that will hold a ton of line so I’m trying to blow this one up on a big shark and really want to fight a big shark on the 15 footer. Overall would say the bite was slow considering the conditions were good.
You’ll only want to fight a big anything on that 15’ once. The mechanical advantage is too low you will be exhausted by the time you wear out anything over 75lbs
