Hit the E end today. It’s totally different than it was earlier in the summer with no hard structure in the water at low tide to hold any fish. River of bait in the water. Got one real big bonnet #20+ and a small sandbar #15ish or whatever. A couple whiting a small blue and a rat red and a short flounder. Overall pretty slow and I won’t be returning to that area until some of that sand moves off the rocks.
Better than workin’. The last time I was on Folly I could not locate the groins.
I have heard that there is a new rock groin that was built in the county park. It is supposedly very long and fishable BUT have not heard any reports of fish being caught there yet. I see the big problem with it being the crowd, but I might give it a try this coming week.
I’m located out at Folly, going to get back in the surf next week or so. Anyone want to meet up and fish, let me know.
Yea absolutely I’ll be out there tomorrow, let me know
Not this weekend, but will be out alot coming up.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”> I like that response. We have a local group of sharks that are relatively the same (group of 10 or so, small sharks that don’t grow over 4 feet, plus or minus). Does it really matter the EXACT species? Really?!Sounds like a pretty good day on the beach.
NO the only small shark i care about are bonnets because they are cool and fight harder than any other shark of the same size. the rest of them are all just “whatevers”. now anything over say 80-100# commands enough respect from me to try and ID correctly but i dont get those unless i feel like really putting in the effort to specifically target and land them.
Absolutely no luck on whole or cut freshly dead finger mullet the past two weekends.
We caught this little guy on Morris Island last Friday, 10 lb test light spinning gear, lots of fun. Also had a beautiful little storm pass right by us.
