Folly lighthouse

Fished with cut and live finger mullet and couldn’t get a bite. I fished the last set of rocks that run to the wood by the inlet. It was rougher than i expected on front beach and there is a ton of hangups in that area from groin to groin. There were mullet on the point on the otherside of the wood/rocks. I also caught a baby pompano, whiting and some finger mullet in the net on the point and it looked good for surf fishing but there wasnt much around. I threw a gotcha plug till my back got tight and had a few hits and caught a flounder, i worked the whole area until i found a hang upfront beach. There was a lot of rain bait in the surf once it got dark.

The point

About 10 inches

The sun set was super pink but a short phone call made me miss the good pic.

Nice report

Ive fished alot in that spot. I’ve spent days there not catching a thing. I’ve found that the further you go down where the wood meets the rocks is better and you have to throw out diagonally to the right. That’s where I caught alot of reds last year like the one in my signature pic. And also in between the rock groin you where at and the one behind you. If you fish in the middle there is where I caught and lost about 10 bigger black tips at the beginning of the year before I got hurt. They seem to love that spot but be careful cause there is alot of anchors and metal sticking up I lost a few that way.
