Folly north end surf report 6/19

Visiting Folly this week and just sharing my report.

Fished with my 3 little boys (11,8 and 5) yesterday just past the turn around on the north end from 10-2 PM. Was using 4 oz. of weight and probably should have upped to 5 as the tide was rising. Caught one small juvenile red on double dropper rig with shrimp. Bottom slider rig rod I had set up for shark got cleaned with cut finger mullet…time and time again lol. Kids had fun, but will try for some small sharks a few more times. At the end of the day, kids had fun making rod holders before our trip and tying up our own double and triple dropper rigs.

Had a great fisherman next to us help a bit with some of the basics and I appreciate all of it. My time out with the boys and at least catching one fish on rigs they made themselves was great. Hopefullto get more fish in the next few days and paying attention to tides.

Nice forum you have here and thanks for the information sharing. I went from a smallmouth bass chasing trip up to Sturgeon Bay for slobs a week back after school got out and now I am surf fishing lol. Life is good. If anyone is out there and wants to hook up and doesn’t mind helping a tourista or just fish together, let me know. My boys will be in tow. I know enough to hold my own. I offer free custom dropper rigs and maybe a few custom made white bucktails to good people  (not even using them this week and no I am not selling lol).

Anyway, happy fishing peeps.
