Hit folly park today and soaked cut bait from 1230-330 without a nibble
Bun, I hit Folly a couple weeks ago, just after low tide. 3 hrs of nothing. Area is finicky. I’m thinking of trying shrimp next time out, never used them before. Just want to get into some fish (tired of catching bass out of the neighborhood retention ponds.)
Keep on castin’
Even when in full swing, the park has always been boom or bust for me. The most and least productive trips I’ve taken have been there. I think it has to do with how the beach is constantly reforming in that area near the inlet.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Don’t teach a man to fish… and feed yourself. He’s a grown man. And fishing’s not that hard.

Folly has a hard time with erosion and sediment washing up the surf. The bottom is practically devoid of life and there’s nothing there to hold the fish. several miles north the beach at Bulls is very different. You see sand fleas everywhere and those tiny surf clams - lots of life there
