I put around 8:30 with some whiting with no luck. Regulars, Tommy and Clarence showed up, throwing their cast net for some good menhaden. Very cool and funny, helpful guys. One dude in the breakers landed a very nice pompano - season record so far. A few of our bait lines zipped out on 3’ give or take sharpnose, some getting cut off. I think a shark hit a fighting line, but not mine. Fished till around 5:30. Shared a few beers and some laughs and had a blast. It was a good chance for me to experiment with the trolley fishing set up. Can’t wait for kings and spanish to show up.
