Folly Pier Fisherman

Who here regularly goes to Folly Pier to fish? I live in West Ashley and with the decent weather we’ve been having this winter, would be looking for fishing friends to meet through the week when quieter to cast some lines. I am retired so weekdays are perfect. Some of you have days off through the week even though you work, so this could be a great opportunity to meet up with someone to fish the pier for anyone interested.

I live on Folly, have my own private dock on the Folly River so fish there more than the pier. Waiting for at least March bf I get back into it. I go to the pier from time to time, let me know and we’ll meet up sometime at my house or the pier.

Inshore…thank you so much! That would be a privilege to do! Yes, we will stay in touch as the weather gets better and the spring rolls in.

Still looking for others who like fishing the pier during the week…

Hey man, based on the amount of bait that I’m selling through the shop I would say head over to the Mt. P pier due to the fish habitat it provides vs the Folly Pier.

All you’re fishing is sandy areas at the Folly Pier where the Mt. P Pier is built on and around the old bridge pilings providing a good area for trout, redfish, and flounder. I would think you’d get better ■■■■■■■■ there than Folly.

Thanks for the info Hurricane. I just like the ocean and pier better. Prefer the fun of ocean varieties over trout and Reds all the time. Mt. P is a great pier though.

Thanks Simon! The sheepshead bite on the Mount Pleasant Pier has been pretty good lately. Several last week in the 8 pound range with the biggest being 9 lbs 9 oz (pictured here)

Nice sheepshead.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

I try to fish the surf at folly and also at edisto. I also am retired and live in west Ashley, so can go anytime. I would like to know someone else, as it sure helps to pass the time. If you are interested, just drop me a line.

Like I said yall fellow’s be sure to pm me when the weather gets warmer and we’ll get together as I live on Folly.
