I was out at the Folly pier Tuesday from about 11 am-3 pm. The only stuff that was biting were a few Dogfish shark. Unfortunately due to the high winds I had to use heavy weight and gear, which meant that the sharks weren’t able to put up much of a fight. Both of the sharks were 40 inches and 36 inches in length. I was hoping for something to take home for dinner, nonetheless, it was still a great day fishing.

Spiny Dogfish aren’t bad eating. They use them for fish and chips all the time!

Thanks for the report. I am too much of a wimp to fish in the cold and it isn’t really that cold!

I cut her up into about 6 fillets, seasoned them up with lemon pepper and a family recipe batter, and pan fried them. The fillets tasted pretty good lol
