Someone made this kids day
Awfully nice of that guy, I might have to try out of the surf sometime there for sharks.
I’m so salt life I sued google earth for giving away all of my fishing spot’s.
That was Jake Izzy.

Hi Bonnie, “waves”
Yes, I saw Jake and Randy in it.
Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.
Did the shark hit a king rig
Hi Izzy! Sure miss ya. Yes Sonny. Jake had a big lady fish out there for bait.

How did you do at the Big Kahuna Tournament?
So I’m guessing the “no shark fishing” rules are out the window at Folly??
they’re still in affect.it hit a king rig.fought for a while then it broke off.

My response was total tongue in cheek, and this response isn’t aimed at you Sharky, but since you brought it up, it is still a shark and not a king. The fact that there are sharks in the waters off of the beaches where there are ordinances, etc. against sharking don’t in any way change that fact. When people make idiotic rules they end up looking as ignorant as the rule. Therefore, if I want to shark fish all I have to do is say I’m “kingfishing”. What a joke. I’m just guessing, but I think most people who come to the beach realize by now ( with “shark week” on discovery, coverage of shark attacks, etc., etc.), that sharks actually exist in the waters right off the shoreline. Maybe they’ve had their heads buried in the very sand they are now standing on to view the “shark free” waters as the city council members and motel owners would have them believe.
i knew it wasn’t meant for me.
the couple times i tried king fishing all i caught were sharks aside from a couple spanish that stole my FM. even when fishing for other stuff ive both seen and hooked myself sharpnose on small pieces of shrimp…catching sharks at folly pier is unavoidable targeting them or not. even when surf fishing other places im amazed at how many people are suprised to find out that plenty of sharks are within the chest deep water they swim in…even though statistically they took a MUCH higher risk driving to the beach and getting in a car accident than getting in the water with sharks.
Hi Sonny. I was sick therefore we didn’t make it out. I heard that it was won with a 7oz whiting, so I’m kinda glad we didn’t go.

I walked the pier that morning when I got off from work and saw people throwing back some decent whiting, one person I told, “Weight that in, it might win” and they were like no your crazy, it was a 12" whiting haha
I wish they would put some more reef balls out off the beach, but with the erosion its just not cost efficient on Folly

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
