I am thinking of making a trip down to the pier to try and target spanish mackerel and maybe some pompano. I will be leaving from walterboro sc so I wanted to be well prepared before making that drive. Has anyone been doing any good with the spanish on the pier. IF so what has been working best gotcha plugs, buck tails, tree rigs ect. This would also be a first attempt at pompano so any tips on for these would be greatly appreciated.
spanish early in the morning-gotcha plugs, pompano right after the breakers using cut shrimp.follow the breakers durning tide change.I hunt in walterboro.grew up there.
