Folly report 4 27 19

I got on the beach at the col de sac at 630am to see 3 sets of surf cart tracks already heading toward the inlet. I fished from 7 to 9 30 ish and caught a few whiting and the bite was consistent but not hot like the other day. I talked to some people from the inlet to the col de sac and it was pretty much the same story whiting and black drum and the fishing spots didnt seem to make much a difference. I was on the yak and could see the inlet and front beach and counted 7 groups fishing and 30 lines in including me and mine, about 15 to 20 people and that was before 9am before it filled out. As i was walking out i saw more groups on the beach and i would guess 50 lines and 30 people fishing total.

So if you fish folly on the weekends and like a certain spot you better be the early bird. Personally im gonna do more fishing in the dark to avoid heat, people and because i feel I have more success.

This sites pic loader is such bs. Always some malfunction.

Man that is crazy all the people going out there. Years back me and my buddy would go surf fishing every Thursday night . We had a couple good spots we’d catch some really big trout and flounder at night. We had a good creek we’d net live menhaden and mullet on the way and fish with them.

23’ seacraft

Fished pier yesterday. Water was calm but dirty. Water cleaned up noonish. Bite was slow, bait blues came in around 1ish. Son lost a 2lb Spanish. Other than that, nothing much

Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.
