Seen people mentioning that the water clarity at FB has been remarkably better that ever.
Anyone notice this and thoughts to why? We have had consistent southern winds which helps a lot. I just check the webcam and looked pretty clear even from the low-grade cam.
someone told me yesterday that it has something to do with the replenishing going on. The surf was super murky yesterday with zero visibility in the surf, but 30 yards past the breakers it was Caribbean blue. I don’t see how the replenishment thing would cause the water to be so blue further out. I’m interested to know more about this as well.

maybe it’s increased the depth out there since they have removed so much sand. I think it’s great, so hopefully it stays that way.
Haven’t fished FB at all this year because the current was so bad last year, so maybe I’ll give it a try.
Still drops off about the same I swam all the way out to the end of the light blue(12ft or so deep, high tide, no current)and it seemed close to the same as it use to, except there where a lot of little holes everywhere. I heard when the sand gets so stirred up it causes a lot more micro-life and better water quality. I was thinking maybe the sand was lighter in color then the old sand and that might of been it, but I don’t really know.
