Stoudt is taller than Boyd, has a good arm and doesn’t get rattled. It would surprise you how close the two were in ability and skill sets according to Morris. Both had about the same 40 times too from what I can remember. He’ll be a big surprise to many people this year.

Hey, I’m just pointing out the fact that you think he’s as good as the most prolific qb in recent ACC history… those are big shoes to fill brother.
I like your optimism and I believe he’ll be a good one, but the depth of that statement alone is mind boggling to me.
I think both will have decent seasons more or less. Considering how many records Boyd set while there is a bit tough to live up to, but overall Stoudt should be ok due to his size and passing abilities. No idea about how the run game will change. Overall not much to worry about. Although a first game in Athens will be interesting to watch.
Despite having Shaw gone, Thompson will be fine with the experience he as obtained the past couple years. Carolina’s O-line looks pretty good this year, which some people tend to forget is a key factor in extending the QBs time in the backfield to pass. Passing game should improve some from last year and with Davis healthy and a strong core of runningbacks behind him, Carolina looks to be in good shape.

Incredible,do you honestly think that Thompson lost the game for Carolina Sat night?
The play calls and very poor receiving effort, poor offensives line was the the reason.
Thompson was not great but, he played well enough to win. The vaunted O-line that was supposed to be so great is anything but. A dropped TD pass and a few other drops were not Thompson’s fault and some dumbazz play calling certainly were not his fault. That was group effort but definitely not the QB’s fault.

I don’t think NCS is very good. I watched the GS and FSU games and I wasn’t impressed. I think FSU just seems out of sync. Something seems to be missing is the flow for them. GS just runs that crappy offense that no one sees, so it hard to game plan for.
They beat Georgia Southern bye 1 point.

With that said, maybe NCS made those other teams look bad.

4 straight incompletions on the final drive. None were good throws. Not all his fault. Connor Shaw probably never threw more than 2 incompletions in a row. Just saying the QB play would not be near where it was with C. Shaw. Bad play calling and off target throws cost them the game. Yes the TD pass was dropped, but it was an easy throw and Dylan threw it short.

There many drops, yes some were not on target, but some were bad routes.
USC had 119 yards rushing, mostly because of sacks. This is on the O-line. they sucked. All this talk about DT have happy feet. Did you watch the game, they kid was getting killed. He did not practice the first part of the week because he was sore.
I’m not saying the QB play was awesome, but no matter who the QB is, if the O-line can not give you 2 seconds to throw and your WR can’t get off coverage…It will be a long night.
