We have our Edisto property on the market, if anyone is interested. We purchased it for our boys to enjoy, and now that they are grown, we just don’t get down there to enjoy it enough.
Its a special place. Built in 1926. Survived 2 hurricanes. Built like a tank. Former home of proprietor of the general store located at the current Old Post Office. Surrounded by 4000+ acre Botany Bay WMA by 300 degrees. Tidal creek. Dock records: 25" red, 17" trout, 18" flounder. All the crabs and shrimp you can catch and eat. Deer and turkeys everywhere. I have friends that come and park on my property and walk into the WMA to hunt (by permit). It’s 5 minutes from hooking the boat up to splashing it at Steamboat landing. Chuck-Wills-Widows calling at night. Bird watchers paradise. Etc.
Have extensively renovated the inside. Has outdoors shower. All plumbing replaced. New upstairs AC.
Man, why, oh why would you sell off that slice of heaven? I dream of one day being able to own something like that. That area is probably my favorite place on this earth. Good luck with the sale!

I know It’s been a really, really tough decision. Head vs. Heart kind of thing. I love that property and Edisto more than you can imagine. If we were closer to retirement, I’d sell the Summerville home and move there in a heartbeat. My blood pressure is zero when I’m there…

I’m interested, my bank account not so much. I can’t imagine owning something like that and then selling it. Can’t imagine it will stay on the market very long.
