Captains meeting 6:30pm on June 11th - Thirsty Fish
Weigh in @ 5:30!!
Why is this being run out of Edisto instead of Bennetts Point? This has the potential to have an impact on the Edisto Fishing Club’s second annual shark tournament.
I can’t wait ready to hook into some big SHARKS!!!
Great tournament, Freddie! Well organized and had a great time. Looking forward to next year!

I think a 517 tiger took the money.
“If you’re not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you’re not a conservative at forty you have no brain.”
About how long would a 500lb. tiger be, I only fish out to 60ft. and have seen some pretty big ones, just wondering what would have been a close weight for some I’ve seen. I saw a boat at Edisto Nearshore that had one tied on to weigh in tournament, about 6-7ft.,and I would have guessed 100-150lbs? More power to ya,must have a good crew to gaff and tie off 500lb tiger shark.
You can’t catch fish on a dry line
It was just short of 11ft, but you cant guess the weight based on the length. Some Tigers are 11 feet and 1,000 pounds and other barely break the 200 pound mark. Yeah, took everything we had to get the beast halfway in the boat…we were more concerned about how to get it out, if we get the whole thing in. I would love to hit a 1,000 pounder on tourny day, but after dealing with that 520lber, I dont know if its possible with a center console.
Congrats on the big tiger Outcast my crew and myself caught the 262lb lemon thought we were doing good until yours showed up . It was a great smooth day for being on the water. When is the Edisto Fishing Club’s second annual shark tournament.I appreciate the favor you did for us too.

Where were the sharks landed?
What other sharks were weighed?
Jason,
Thanks buddy. Congrats on that lemon, thats a nice fish. Not sure if I’m going to fish the other shark tourny, got to see how my schedule pans out. Someone told me its in July. You planning on entering?
I don’t know either I work shift work and depends on if I can get off. That was my first tourny and I enjoyed it. Great sportsmanship. Blueline we caught ours right outside of the North Edisto. there were two tigers weighing in around 300pounds and another around 250pounds.
