FREE Tarpon Seminar @ PSAMTP

FREE Tarpon Fishing Seminar: April 30th at 6:30pm.

Come out and hear Captain Dave Jackson of Tarpon Tangle Adventures share all of his knowledge on tarpon fishing. He will get you geared up properly and get you ready to tangle with the big boys this season!

“I caught my first tarpon in 1985, fishing at night with a fly rod, and have been addicted ever since.”

Capt. Dave tells a great fishing story and knows his stuff when it comes to tarpon!

Not trying to be “that guy,” but is there legit tarpon fishing in the Charleston area? Serious question.

No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.

Not speaking for the Captain bangstick, but we do have a decent short season on tarpon here…Have caught them as early as first week of June but the real fishery where you can expect to tangle with them comes in Late july - early September…with the peak of it coinciding with the mullet run early fall. But this is just IMO from 33yrs fishing the lowcountry. good luck!

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

Glad to help, it’s my job

you won’t be making a living fishing for them in the lowcountry though, just a nice option on a big fish during the dog days of summer and right before the fall trout get red hot.
