Salvage claims anyone?!!
Every vessel should carry this form onboard. Especially those without a towing service.
How?

Buyer didn’t know “Autopilot” was an extra option.
I’m curious as well??

This guy is very lucky.

I really need to know what happened. That’s an expensive mistake.
I can’t even imagine how that happened, unless it was intentional. I’ve run up on a beach a couple times to keep from sinking, but…dang, how could you do that by accident

It was not intentional.
That’s they way they do it down under. Gots to be tough on the gel coat. I would imagine it’s less impact than a v hull. I know what that’s like… quick stop on sand and way up there on pluff mud.
Ran aground at dead high tide Friday night. Did not hit hard but small crew could not push off in time before the tide fell out. Saturday morning high tide was not as high as Friday nights so combine sand against hull and less water she would not come off Saturday morning. Insert back hoe and some hard working beach goers and fire department and she is floating again. No one was injured, boat appears fine, captains got bruised ego but all else is good.
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
Thanks for the update.
Captain is lacking or “bruised” more than an ego… I would have used the term “common sense”

Holy crap! Gives “almost stuck the landing” a whole new meaning. Those folks ain’t right in the head if they do that on a constant basis.

I don’t know what the best option is for these guys, but there has to be a better way than that!
Common sense is not very common sometimes.

You got to love it to go through that…or making a living. I/O boat on top of that.

My only question is, why not follow the simple aids to navigation(ATON)?
