I will be driving up to NC for some pier fishing on 4 May. By SCDNR, non baiting Shrimp season opens on 1 May. Do you think the local seafood stores will have local fresh shrimp on the 2nd or 3rd or is that too soon to season opening?
Would like to have fresh dead for a four day fishing trip for two and live shrimp would be cost prohibitive.
Most of the seafood stores will have fresh frozen. A bit pricey, but the fish will thank you for buying local S.C. wild-caught shrimp…

I prefer no other. Thanks, I’ll ask.
What season opening are you referring to?

Recreational non baiting in SC. I do not know when SC commercial begins.
Talked to Sea Eagle Seafood and they told me to check back as they may be getting some fresh shrimp in from Georgia.
