A friend and I fished the southside friday afternoon on the falling tide.We caught one spottail 23.5 inches and one trout. Both released. Sort of slow fishing but it was a beautiful day on the water for February.
Bass was caught on a frozen finger mullet on the bottom and the trout on a white grub/pink tail with a mudminnow bouncing along the bottom.
I also hooked the elderly gentleman’s prop who ran over my lines while driving by. I couldn’t turn him. Berkely fireline is the bomb, he spooled me off before I could get the line to pop.
Good fishing to everyone. I’m really ready for the warmer weather.
