A buddy and I headed to Folly this afternoon for a quick trip. Set up 3 rods about 1130, tide was still going out. Double dropper rigs w/4 oz, bits of shrimp. Whiting nite was steady but nothing else. Tried putting some slabs of whiting out but nothing on that. We were about half way up the N side of the island, no real trough between the sandbar and shore, so we were hurling our baits far out. Water was colder than I expected. Took about 10 home, mixed sized.

Walked the pier later on. Was fairly quiet but saw some more whiting there. Pier has a few tournaments coming up which are fun. Decent prizes as I recall.

heading out there tomorow am gona try to catch a sharpnose, have heard they taste good grilled. I am also gona be fishing for anything else biting, any suggestions?

Don’t be shy about trying to fish shallow or deep. Half the whiting hit right after I sank the bait, while walking the rod to my holder.
