Fripp advice

Heading to Fripp for a week. Anyone have any info on the surf/inlets? Looks to be a good area.

Ja,

We spent many June vacation weeks at Fripp. Go to the south end of the island. That is Skull Inlet. Great for Flounder. There are some rocks, and the entrance to another little creek. There used to be a lot of structure and hard bottom. Live mud minnows or finger mullet on the bottom working a slow retrieve. I had the best results last 2 hours of falling and 1st 2 hours of rising tides.
There are several really small ditch creeks around the island to drop a minnow trap in. If you have a boat, Fripp Inlet is good for sharks. On the Hunting Island side of the Fripp Inlet on the seaward side of the pier is the entrance to the Hunting Island lagoon. That can be good for Flounder, Reds and Trout too.
Have a great vacation !
