Anyone been out of Fripp inlet lately?
A little dicey at low tide last year.

Hi. I live on Fripp and go out often in my 21’ Nautic Star. I generally try to stay at least an hour either side of low tide. But it has gotten better since last year. Now you should be able to go more or less straight out from the buoy, probably about 10 degrees to the right . You can get coordinates from the Fripp Marina if you’re launching there. Keep the buoy on your left on the way out and veer right a bit, looking for the water where there are no breakers.
Now - I haven’t ventured out in about 4 months, so it very well could have changed since then, but back in January it was fairly easy to get out. At least compared to the last few years.

Thanks Mark!
I’m down this weekend and will be ahead of the low tide by an hour at least on Friday.
btw, if you like videos, I have one of Fripp I did with a quad copter from last October. check it out on YouTube when you get a chance.
