Headed to Fripp on the 30th for two weeks. I fly fish and have a boat. Any suggestions on where to fish for redfish and flounder?
No idea around Fripp. You might try the Hunting Island lagoon, several places that you can cast a fly from the bank. I know lots of flats around Bluffton/ HHI for reds and the occasional flattie.

be careful going into that lagoon in a boat, I would take my kayak in there but it is very very shallow in some spots and there are oyster beds very close to the mouth of the lagoon. I have caught some nice big reds in the inlet in the fall but don’t know about this time of year. I have heard that the rocks around Fripp hold some flounders.

Used to fish alot around Fripp when my dad was living, and caught a lot of fish. I would try going up Story Creek to Bulls point area! Do some home work on Google Earth before you go, Can pull #s from the data
Thanks for the tips, bcp87 and boatpoor. I usually go up the Story chasing redfish but want to try for a few flounder for the dinner table. I’ll report back.

Usto catch good flounder just before bull point on the shell bank on the left! Anchor and fish mud minners like fishing worms for bass
Can catch both at fripp bridge. Easy paddle from marina. Agree on lagoons but banks better. Reds in there along with black drum
Listen to Monty.
