FSU..class, character, dignity.

I vaguely remember a coach at Auburn saying the same thing about another dirty athlete a few years back…

No difference between the two to me.

If you were a coach for a program that has had some issues lately, what the hell would you tell your team? You are fooling yourself if you think other coaches don’t do the same thing! Not sure why there is so much hate toward the Noles

Annoy a Liberal, Work Hard and Be Happy!

Huh?
What are you trying to say

What is wrong with telling your players to behave with class, character, and dignity? Especially with all the hate lately. I don’t see the point of your original post.

Annoy a Liberal, Work Hard and Be Happy!

Nothing is wrong with that.
But the coaches should do the same.

Really? I mean I get that you’re a fan, but you can’t conjure up any possible reason that the Noles are dislikable to the average person right now? Nothing at all comes to mind?

I don’t think there is anything wrong with telling your team that, but when you tell the media that, then you aren’t exactly telling the truth… JW continues to show his lack of maturity when he comes running up on Jimbo’s interview acting like a complete smacktard and Jimbo has to pause to tell him to stop acting like a dumbass on national TV…

A bad day fishing is much better than a good day at work.

Because your QB is a dumbass, a criminal and a rapist that has been covered up for repeatedly. Your coach who looked like a stand-up sort of fellow is now looking like he’ll do anything to win no matter the cost. And it looks like the refs wallets seem to leave games a bit thicker than when they entered. Oh and the golden horseshoe chief Osceola seems to have considering the Noles should be a 3 loss team at this point.

Clear it up any?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I feel sorry for ol’ Jimbo…

He’s past the point of doing what he should have done.

No matter what he does from this point forward, he’ll have a lot of negative backlash.

1)continue giving Jameis the benefit of the doubt and hoping he grows up-
In all probability, Jameis won’t change, and folks will point to his coaches for not being tougher on him OR for allowing great embarrassment to a university to go so far.
2)be at odds with an administration that wants Jameis gone-
Jimbo will get fired if allegations of criminal activity on behalf of a player he’s been “protecting” end up being found true.
3)turn against Jameis and have the same regrets Tressel has expressed regarding the Clarret situation-
Moral high ground? What was best for the kid? Is it all his fault? He’s been “so good” at football and baseball that he’s been allowed to get away with things other players never would have. His team and coaches would hate him for it- if only he wasn’t so good on the field.

Exactly the same thing as Cam Newton.

Part of the country feels that Shameis is the victim of lots of unfounded “hate” and haters* as they were.

Another part is smart enough to understand that where there is smoke there’s fire, and stupid decisions off the field are a trademark of Shameis and young Cam. Cam seems to have grown up. Will Shameis?

Here is my problem with it all.
sCam and Shameis were/are shown on TV being punks so often, that kids growing up think that’s the way to get all the attention and get paid the big bucks. They’re kids, but they both got the microphone and camera entirely too much during times when they’re being absolute punks.

Allowing that to be the face of your program is indefensible IMO…

Sammy Potkins screwed up, was punished, was forced to be humble about it, and grew up as a result.

When will Shameis ever be humbled? The boy came out against Clemson fully dressed out and warmed up. Camera was on him for half the game. Punishment? Hardly…
Humility? Hardly…

Well said, but don’t feel sorry for Jimbo. He’s chosen his path, and I hope he sinks with the ship. He has protected that idiot at all costs.

That’s not what Jimbo did.

He was saying his players represented those qualities…and to the general public, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Saltydog called Winston a Dumbass and a Criminal…I think he nailed 98% of the Roster…

He is delusional.

“Why is my reputation taking a hit? For backing a kid who has done nothing wrong?” Fisher said.

Jimbo Fisher won’t be the coach of this team in two years…mark it down.
