Who watched last night?
That QB is very good. Now Pitt looked lost most of the night but he picked them apart.
Not a bad opener for a freshman. ESPN.com put it like this:
“If Boyd set the bar for ACC quarterbacks on Saturday, Jameis Winston eagerly leapt over it Monday. The much-hyped freshman had a debut for the ages against Pitt, completing 25 of 27 passes for 356 yards and four TDs, while rushing for another.”
… Good showing no doubt…against a bad Pitt team and receivers that were wide open all night. We’ll see when he plays a defense that can at least cover their recievers, let alone put pressure on him. He looked very “comfortable”.
He looked good last night. FSU is no pushover but Pitt isn’t exactly a dominate team. Per ESPN’s normal FSU bandwagon chatter to start every season, why would they not put the kid as a Heisman Finalist after one game. I’ll wait and reserve judgement when he gets hit in the mouth a few times to see how good he is. FSU/Clemson should be two undefeated and highly ranked teams, that’ll be his first real test.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I would hope so. neither plays a ranked team before they meet.
Which game worries the Clemson faithful the most other than FSU?

This week vs. SC State. I could care less about two or three weeks from now. Watkins, Boyd, McDowell or any of them can get hurt just as easily against a nobody team like SC State as anyone else, maybe more so. Teams like that want to prove something and cheap shots are taken all the time. Just like the UNC lineman going after Clowney’s knee on Thursday.
I hope they put the game out of reach early and get young players in there to get experience.

Looking at FSU’s schedule, when do you think they will face a defense like that?
Clemson has to do what they say every year that they’re going to do, look out for the NC STATEs and Georgia Techs that come up and bite you when you’re not looking.
Stay focused and Clemson will be undefeated and probably top 3 coming into Colubmia.
you have a point fish… Iguess it will be up to CU an dthen Fla. I still don’t believe that, as a freshman, he can perform that well every week, but we’ll see. Anything can happen
FSU has a cake walk schedule. They shouldn’t even be tested until the final game vs. Florida. But, they have been known to pull a Clemson now and then.
Which has the better defense…FSU or CU ? Thats who wins the ball game. I know Clemson’s D is horrible. Not sure of FSU.
Key West 1720 115 HP Johnson Saltwater.
based on the one game played, how do you make this assessment? other than just being a hater?

History. I have not seen improvement. Did you? Not hating. Very much enjoyed watching UGA lose to you guys. Great stadium , fans and band. I hope Gameday has a reason to choose the USC vs CU game at the end of the year.

You are the one that said FSU played a bad Pitt team. and " We’ll see when he plays a defense that can at least cover their recievers, let alone put pressure on him."
With only 1 game, how can you tell that. Maybe FSU is just that good.
Maybe CU defense is horrible, we just dont know yet.
I dont think they are horrible, but they have a long way to go. The gave up over 500 yards. over 300 in the air.
It is just one game. The good news for CU and FSU is they have a few more practice games before they meet.
