Made it down for our annual Cast-n-Blast and a large time was had by all. Marsh hens everywhere but we were gonna fish this weekend. With the full moon and the strong winds, it made it difficult to get out and fish. One boat out of about 6 did find some fish on Friday with shrimp on bottom and on corks. Good mix of red and black drum and some trout. My boat caught and released a half dozen undersized trout. No spottail bass this year, which is unusual. Saturday, only a few made it out and were either skunked or released shorts. The land lovers did have fun off the dock catching a 5-gal bucket of catfish. Hope to get back next week and try it again.
