Fished St Helena today with g8rnsc…first time we’ve fished together in a few months! We hit the water early and picked at the bass for a while. Stopped at one point and it was on…catching five in a matter of minutes…then they turned off. Six bass in the slot, one over at 30.5 inches and lost several to pulled hooks. Caught two nice 17+ inch trout and a keeper flounder to round out the inshore slam. Everything came on mud minnows. Bass would not hit minnows under a cork…had to fish them on weighted hooks on the bottom. All came on incoming tide.
Good to fish with Blair again. Beautiful weather even though the wind rose as the day went on. We left the water before noon. Looks like this tropical storm will bring more winds.
