Turns out there were two players on Auburn’s defense wearing the number 1 on that last play from scrimmage…
It’s a conspiracy I tell ya,a friggin conspiracy.
Auburn has been the luckiest team in college football the last few years. The gamecocks should have won the game. I have no problem with the last play of the game. Should have had the lead and running the clock to zero. D Thompson is ok but made too many bad throws and INT’s. If he executed we would have won by 14. Oh well. Wait til’ next year !

The two int’s by Thompson were costly for sure. Both times he has pressure in his face and should have just thrown the ball long and out of bounds. With that said. He played well enough for the team to win if there was any kind of defense at all. I think if you want to talk about losing this game it falls squarely on the shoulders of the defense. They made two stops all night, the last one when Auburn got conservative and tried to chew up the clock, so really one stop the entire game.
Even with everything bouncing our way, Auburn is a better team. The HBC just proved that he still has an incredible skillset that only the great ones have. I wouldn’t trade him for any other coach in the country.
Thompson, again, played well enough to win. The defense is the problem, as it has been all year. I’m not disappointed in this loss; I’m disappointed in the two teams that we should have beat but gave up in the forth quarter. The good news is that SC is recruiting two stud DEs; I think they’re both four stars. Defense can’t be any worse next season…

Yeah it can if they keep Wammy. Talent is there this year to be a helluva lot better than they are. Coaching on the other hand sucks.
