What an ABSOLUTE EMBARRASSMENT!
Despair, poor conditioning, sub-par quarterback, piss poor coaching…
What say you?

Me too!
Do they win a game?
1, maybe 2.

Bentley stunk it up, that’s for sure, but he was hardly the reason USC lost. The O-line was a sieve. The receivers can’t catch a cold. The defensive front 7 couldn’t stop menstruation with a tampon and the defensive secondary couldn’t cover an ant with their shadow. Oh, and the offensive play calling was horrible. The team looked uninspired and showed a lack of motivation. They simply didn’t look ready to play and that falls on the coaching staff. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big believer in the saying, “coaches coach and players play” but the team should at least look prepared. One thing I will say about Bentley, he may have bad games but he gives 100% every time he’s on the field. Just so happens his 100% isn’t good enough and he appears to not be able to handle pressure very well.
All of that said, do I think USC fans are going to see something better with Hilinski under center? No. While he may have more physical skill than Bentley, he’s a true freshman with ZERO college experience. That, coupled with the porous O-line, receivers with a constant case of the dropsies and alligator arms and a weak defense isn’t going to yield anything better, in my opinion.
I’m certain USC fans will believe the team has tuned a corner and Hilisnki is the second coming of Johnny Unitas if they go out and handle their business against Charleston Southern but then reality is going to smack them back down to earth the following week when Alabama comes to town.
I actually thought USC could pull off 7 wins this season (counting a bowl win) but after seeing what took the field on Saturday, let’s just say if one hand gets filled with “W’s” this season, I’ll be shocked.

Hey, look on the bright side. Those unfortunate people in the Bahamas will likely get a big donation from the Columbia area. There will be a lot of good done by this.

Lawrence was also the #1 or 2 QB in the country depending on the rating service with a huge upside. Size, quick release, accuracy, speed, natural ability etc played a huge factor. Add in that he was stepping into a very familiar offensive scheme and he had a lot of upside. Surrounded by incredible receivers and a heck of a backfield. He made mistakes but not many. The coaches didn’t put him into too many bad situations either.
Hilinski (sp) doesn’t have a lot of that. A terrible O-line, receivers who drop more than they catch and a decent back in Dowdle and good one in Feaster. Without the line though, neither will be very effective. It’s good he gets Saturday for a tune up, could you imagine getting your first start playing Bama?
What do the chicken faithful consider a good season this year? Is this Moosechump’s last season? Who do you go after next? Sean Elliot, give him a chance to prove himself and build something? Or does it have to be a big name coach?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.
