2016 has been an amazing year for trout with more trout over 20" than I have ever seen. Today I hit the jackpot!! She weighed 10lbs on the boga!!!

Wow very nice my guess is around 28in but that’s a fat fish also. What did you catch it on live or artificial, if you caught that on artificial that is the biggest trout I have ever heard of being caught on artificial around here and makes it a even better prize. You just made a lot of peoples personal best seem small including mine. I bet you thought it was a red for minute.

She was released. I have a self imposed 20" limit on trout.
Caught on Trout eye with a ZMan ble pearl swimmer Z.
She measured 28" which is by far the thickest fish I have ever caught. However I have caught several longer trout but all of them have come out of Florida and known had shoulders like this one. The girth on the Trout this year has been unreal. I had a 25" two weeks ago that went over 6lbs.
Here is the 25". Caught on the same set up but with a little different colors swimmerz. Sorry for the cropping but I am sure most of you understand.
I would go beyond gator and call that a mutant!

I’ve seen lots of trout that size, in the DNR labs. They have fish from local stocks over 10 lbs that are three years old. But I have never seen anything like that come out of the river.
