The water clairty wasnt that great and the wind fairly strong coming out of the worst possible direction. it was pretty slow going we picked at the fish untill 12:30 and wound up 2 spotails and 9 flounder.
We’re heading down this weekend and are thinking about going Friday night. Any suggestions on where we should try? We went last year and tried the yacht basin, but the water clarity was terrible that particular night.
Upstate just try to find an area with a good many oysters and bait. The water around oyster beds is usually pretty clear and the flunder are much eaiser to see when there laying on oysters.
Hey Edisto82 where were ya’ll?

To me, the biggest sign of a rookie is one who gives the locations ON THE INTERNET of where fish were caught. I know we’re all here to help each other but giving locations on the internet, even general locations, puts undue pressure on the spot. We have many examples, Grillage, Marker 55, Morgan Creek, Behind IOP, Dynamite Hole, etc. Even posting supposedly well known spots keeps the pressure on them. It doesn’t hurt a newbie to have to learn to find their own spots and it certainly does no good to the resource to post it on a billboard.
Cyber scouters are lazy, just like guide followers. They do not appreciate what it takes to locate fish and they have similar lack of respect for the resource that the rest of us work so hard to protect. If you want to give out your best spots, do it via email or invite them to fish with you but don’t advertise it to the world. You have no control over who uses the information if you post it so publically. The more crowded our local waters get, the more important it is to keep your spots secret.
End of rant.

I have been gigging with you before
Wasn’t looking for an exact spot just a general area

just trying to get an idea for which areas were out of the wind
Not trying to find your honey hole buddy
You will never find me giving away any fishing holes i only point people in the right direction when they have a valid question.

I agree with Edisto/Palmetto. I am sick of people giving exact coordinates on where to go…
