Recently purchased a Jon Boat and looking to setup some lights for gigging. Anyone have suggestions on led lights? I was looking at getting a couple cheap light bars off Amazon, but have heard the leds only work well on extremely clear water.
The cheap light bars are okay, but not ideal IMHO. The reflections can kill the visibility…BUT they do work.
Keep us posted on what you do and how you rig it up. There’s days and days of reading out there on different setups and how to make it work. The bowfishing community has pretty much tested everything.
I’ve got a couple of underwater lights from www.fishinglightsetc.com that have been great…they don’t make ANY reflection. Lots of pics here: http://www.fishinglightsetc.com/FlounderLight.html

Kawell leds off amazon rock.
I have yet to try mine out, but this is what I did. Since posting, I have shortened the legs on bracket to get them closer to the water.

Like the setup DoubleN. That’s a much nicer version of what I originally envisioned doing. What type and where’d you get the materials to make the frame? Please let me know how those lights work for you!

Chris, I’ve got some extra material you can have. I’ll bring it to Bft next weekend. Ladys Island.
Sent you a PM.
