Going tomorrow?

Anyone gonna stick their nose out deep tomorrow? Looks like the SW wind “MAY” cooperate, but the front may drop some rain/storms on us in the Hilton Head area. Just lookin’ to see if anyone’s gonna give it a go???

What offshore forecast you looking at there cocky?

Capt. Jeff Smith

Saturday looks good, Sunday not so much.

Saturday was fantastic on the Betsy Ross! Smooth ocean. Limited out on huge sea bass - the kind that are green with a knobby head. 2 porgy and 2 red snaps. With only a crew of 2 we did just fine and couldn’t get the bait to the bottom before we had to snatch the lips off of em’. Sometimes it pays off to persistently check the forecast and double check the “WEATHERMAN” forecast. I wish I had a job that paid me to be wrong all the time!

I love eating those blackfish too. Better than grouper or snapper IMO. Those are some fine knotheads there :sunglasses:

Good on ya there cocky. When I saw your post I was thinking you were trying to fish Sunday. Had my days wrong. Glad you had a safe trip.

Both snapper were about the same size - small. Nonetheless fun to catch on light tackle!
