I will be at the pier friday attempting to catch / mooch rays ha. I would give this king fishing thing a try since i have a smaller senator 6/0 I could use but I wonder why no one uses a spinner as their fight rod as well? some of the larger spinners can handle blacktips up over 120lbs… why not a 20-40lb king? I am more worried if I use a 6/0 they will think im shark fishing.
you’ll be ok with the 6/0.there are several people that use them,you’re welcome to any rays or blues I catch.i’ll be there about 7.
bring a good casting rod with a weighted treble hook if you got one.
No weighted treble, are you talking about the pier gaff type treble? or just a treble with like a trolling sinker above it? I can certainly pick one up before i make my way there.
the ones with the lead poured on them.you can cast it in the schools of cownose if any are close by.

dsnave i’m stiing here looking at the pier off the balcony.it’s rough out there.i’ll be here until sunday so might 1 or2 days fishing in.it’s still better than work plus i’m still getting paid.
