Little concerned on how fish would bit after storm, but I left the house optimistic! Fished around HHI on the incoming tide. While the tide was turning got a nice haul of big male blue crabs just in case fish didn’t cooperate—they did! Plenty of under sized trout but then found the Reds. Keep 2 for fresh meal with the blue crabs. Left them biting to watch some college football! Great day! Like they always say "you don’t know unless u go!
We went to one of the creeks off PI even though I was cynical about water conditions. As suspected it pretty murky. We still managed a keeper whiting and a 16" blackdrum. Blue crabs and sting rays were pretty active for sure.
