Out of steamboat go to left. First & 2nd creeks on left -Blue House and Brick House Creeks. (off Russell Cr) Some good deep holes in elbos and lots of docks and dead trees. Also cross the inlet and take right creek - Sand Cr. Oyster rakes on right and flats in the fork of Sand and Russell Cr.

Out of Live oak go right. Lots of small creeklets and a few med creek off the sides of Big Bay. Continue on up and some good docks. Will T into fishing creek. Go left there and in a mile or two comes out in St Piere. Big fork and flats to the right. Docks and grass lines - oysters rakes. Get or catch minnows for bait. Will get better results with live bait. Pinfish and sm croakers will rob you blind with smaller cut bait.

Here’s some good info that a couple of other people posted (not my info…I just saved it and pass it along here).

get a casting net for bait,a small one will do to start. The small ones are easier to handle at first. Go out in your yard and learn how to use it BEFORE you come down. This is going to be your best bet for catching fish.

When you put in at live oak landing, go away from the ocean, or to your right as you see the creek while standing on the dock. There is just too many people, too much boat traffic and too much run-off from the golf course if you go the other way. Plus, if you remember, we are not going shark fishing this vacation.

Get a tide chart and get on the water at least an hour or so before low tide. When you go right you go up Big Bay creek and it turns into Fishing Creek and many small little finger creeks coming in and out of the marsh. If you go to far you will come out on St Piere Creek, and it is several hundred feet across,if you feel froggy go up St Piere creek and when it splits there are two good creeks up there that have plenty of structure (docks and trees and bridges OH MY)to fish from. Either way, if you get there you just came thur some pretty fair spots that are not too far from home.

Anyway, on your journey to these places we just spoke about you will come thru some skinny water, look for bait fish on the edges of the oyster rakes and in holes where the finger creeks are coming out of the marsh. You will be able to catch plenty of mullet, shrimp, pinfish, ect… to use as bait. This is what you need to catch fish, none of that fresh water crap will do the trick now Dorathy, we are not in Kansas anymore. Just funnin’,where was I? Oh yeah, so now is when all that practice you did in the yard with the cast net pays off in spades. Catch us up some fresh bait,Make the son and son in law practice with the net or they will have to drive your boat in skinny water, dont forget the prop cause, well, never mind, yo

Awesome guys… Thanks again…
