Kyle Calkins, 13 (across the street neighbor), G8rnsc and I ended day with at least 20 or 25 bass to 27 inches and a good mess of trout, with one almost 18". Great day on the water after a slew of windy days.
We picked at the fish all over…from low to almost high. Fish bit shrimp (they’ve left the creeks except for deep holes), muddies and artificials. The last fish below was a spectacular golden hue. It came as a textbook finish to the day. Point and say “I’ve caught fish against that grass before…” then see 4 tails, cast to one and have the fish erupt and mow grass. It doesn’t get much better!
