Good surf fishing spot

I need a good surf fishing spot. Experienced but recently moved up here from Florida. I need a workable spot to start my SC account. A little help??? Live in west Ashley and want to hit sunset Friday.

Folly beach.

Take a left and head towards the north part, once you get to the dead end leading towards the light house there will be a little trail right beside the gate preventing you from driving… Walk through that trail and it will take you to the beach (houses will be on your left). I usually always fish to the left of the first wooden beam. Water gets fairly deep there and I’ve had lots of success with this spot.

Whiting, Reds, Pompano (probably all gone by now) and Sharks.

Folly beach is my favorite surf spot if I’m not bringing my 4 year old son in tow (in that case, it would be a pier). North end, fish around the rocks. Look for the same sorts of structures you would have in Florida.

We don’t have the same diversity here as you would in Fla, and less pompano (sadly!), but there is definitely some great fishing around here to be done.

FWIW, now that I have my redneck sailboat (cheap canoe) I catch more fish in one day than I did in three days of surf fishing previously.

Come out with us tomorrow, shoot me a text 631-553-6301, starting around 4pm and probably ending around 10 or 11 depending on who stays out. I personally can stay out all night but I generally fish only till the last person stays. We mainly target sharks and the bull reds and are all in our mid twenties and early 30s.

sullivans island can be productive as well. ive had some decent luck with sharks and redfish parking in the general area of station 30 then walking around. however i swear that spot looks different every time i fish it with the way the sandbars keep shifting!
