Just got home from the annual Edisto trip with the family… Had a great week, the trout bite was awesome… We caught our fill every day and almost everywhere; falling tide, rising tide, dead high and right up to dead low. Used DOA, live shrimp and even grubs under popping corks as well as grubs alone… Most of the trout were skinny, 12"-13" but there were some keepers… Got some flounder in the boat too. The only thing we didn’t do was take advantage of the reds on the flood tides (Bob - I enjoy your post daily, we’ll have to hire you in the fall to scratch that itch).
Special thanks to my dad, the “Mystic Knight”, for everything he does to make the fishing easy. He’s always there with a full tackle box and clean boat. Can’t wait to get back on the May river next month for some Bluffton reds with WT…
