I have received word that several council members who voted to move forward with Amendment 30 will vote for or against it based on public comments. This vote will be close, but we CAN make it go the right way. Please send comments OPPOSING VMS to this email address if you have not already. sgamend30comments@safmc.net

The petition supporting alternatives to VMS has 300 signatures. Please sign and share it if you have not already.

Squid Row, the petition will be submitted along with a link to an episode of the freefish7 radio show dedicated to explaining why I oppose VMS and a few positive alternatives. I will wait until the last day of public comments so the petition will hopefully have 1,000 or more signatures. I would be happy to do an episode on the radio show where people could call in to say why they oppose VMS and include that link as well. I will submit the petition, links, and brief summary of what everything is to the Amendment 30 comment email address as well as many members of Congress, state legislators, various media outlets, and a few others like the ACLU and Heritage Foundation.

We can’t afford to run our small business now. Government regulations alone in the last 5 years have cut my revenue and employees by 80%! The EPA and our governments energy policy’s alone are putting me out of work! I have more work then I can do, and can’t afford to do it anymore. The fuel costs are putting ALL FISHERMAN on the hill, and now they want to add costs to all of us with VMS. Why is it that most politicians don’t get it until it’s to late, for them!!!
Only 300 some signatures on this petition so far, astounding!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

Bug Catcher, We the People need to stand together and demand our public servants do the right things. You could not just turn your employees loose to do whatever they wanted. In time, most of them would see they could get away with just about anything and still keep their job. They would become like our elected and unelected employees in government. We have to start managing those we hire to run our government. Let me know if I can sign a petition helping you keep your job. We have POWER in numbers. If we all start supporting each other and find a few major national issues that can get broad bi-partisan support, we can save America, our jobs, and our freedom.

#355. Thanks again for all that you have been doing to put a stop to this. These petitions and webinars are a great way for some of the rec. fisherman to participate. I would have loved to make it to columbia back a couple weeks ago but really hard to get off work in the middle of the week.
