Got my C3 back!!

Got home this evening to find a fishing pole wrapped in christmas paper on my door step, the card read “Merry Christmas, hold on to your SH**” LOL… a buddy of mine was fishing w/ his cousin, his cousin caught the Abu Garcia/Ugly Stick combo that got yanked out of my hands last Monday. Think that’s lucky?? It get’s better, (this is God’s honest truth) When he got ahold of the pole to reel it in, the fish was still on it… yes 6 days later, a bruiser of a sheepshead still hooked in the corner of the mouth, and get this… she weighed in at just over 14 pounds!! I couldn’t believe it! When they told me it still had the fish on the end of it, I just knew it’d be a 2 pound sheepshead and i would never hear the end of how i let a small sheepy pull the rod outta my hand!

You have got to be kidding? WOW!!!

Good for you and Merry Christmas!

It was probably bigger than that before burning off all those calories dragging it around…lol.

That is incredible. Especially the way sheepshead hang around pilings and other stuff to get tangled up in.

I couldn’t believe that fish was still on there, like you say as much structure as we fish around and the line didn’t break or nothing! I preach to all people who ask to use Trilene big game mono. It was just 15lb. He snagged the pole about 20 yards down from where I lost it. It was definitely a great christmas present.
