Found a good source for pyramids. Ready for the fall season!
I make my own: 1 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 5 - 6 - 8. Don’t have a mold for 4oz Pyramid. Got a homemade 4oz satellite type though.
What source would that be?
I find myself throwing 4oz 90% of the time. 5-6oz+ on the big rigs. Don’t think I have any pyramids smaller than 3oz. left. I thought about making my own…for me it’s about time. Work hard all week, fish hard all weekend, not alot of time for melting lead. At only around .25¢ an ounce?..my time is worth alot more. Note the 6oz. are three sided. Source??? A nice gentleman in Georgia. ebay, where else? [:I]
I’ve been really satisfied with www.lead-bandit.com for my lead the past few years. He had some growing pains several years ago but appears to have it figured out now. Orders take about 10 days to arrive. I get flat bank sinkers and pay about .16 per ounce delivered. Just checked, Pyramids are .18 per oz.
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.
I looked into lead-bandits before Fritz, from what I have read, they are still painfully growing.

.25 an ounce? dude… ummm I need to know where you’re getting them haha
Once I was in a local bait and tackle store and saw .89 under 4oz pyramids. Thought the price was responsible, picked out 10 weights. After being rung up, around $40.00 with tax! The nice cashier must have noticed my reaction, "Per ounce " she said. I paid her, and was on my way. Lessons learned.
haha i’ve done that before…
I would have put them back and said thank you very much, but no thanks.
