Had the invite from Andy to take advantage of yesterday mornings weather window. Loaded up first thing and had the boat wet by sunrise. Quit fishing around noon and was back in time to pick up my boy from daycare.
Lots of meat, lots of fun, great friends. Thanks again Andy and Ben!
That’s a nice mess of triggers and healthy b-liners. Good job.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That pioneer ain’t no joke! I love triggers too. Do you skin them to clean them? I tried that last time and seemed a lot easier.

I/we don’t skin them. I poke my knife through entire fish on soft spot on the side and run it all the way through to butthole. Start at bottom then come up through top. Flip it and skin it. I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos and this works for me. 6” Stiff Dexter Russell sharpened after every 3 fish. Practice, practice, practice definitely has helped. I love to catch them and really love to eat them. But, I will re-try the skinning method just to see. Thanks for sharing.
Had a request from Andy and Glenn to post up a classic trigger burger pic. Decided to skip the bun and eat on a southwest Cobb salad with roasted corn and bacon. Delicious
